The dike-Flower-Garden Street block began to form in the 16th-17th century suburb, known in historical sources as “above the Orefactors Gate”. Dyke Street existed as early as the 16th century, and the Streets of Flowers and Gardens emerged in the 17th century as roads leading to St. John's. Stephen's church. The land of the quarter belonged to the jurisdic of the city magistrate. The construction of the fourth house on the site of a wooden building began in 1865-1869. A two-story house was originally built, and in 1901 the building's owner, D. Zhuk introduced two more floors of the brick house to a design by engineer Korojedov. The building's dominant style is eclectic, the main facade is ornate, and the courtyard is simple.
