Tirgonu Street is quiet and one-sided, reconstructed and landscaped in the historical center of Jurmala - Maiori district, leading to the sea. The historical center of Jurmala, called “Mayori”, where the DAS HAUS project is located, was called Meyrenhof at the beginning of the last century. These lands since 1566 were part of the estate of Marshal Georg von Fix and his descendants. At the end of the 18th century, there was a fashion for leisure by the sea and representatives of the von Fix family began to divide and sell their lands in Meirenhof for the Baltic Germans, Russian merchants and the emerging Latvian intelligentsia. So the estate of Meyrenhof turned into a village of the same name.
Maiori is a place with an ancient history of German residence.
