PEI Express Entry
This stream is aimed at attracting skilled workers. But unlike many other streams, PEI Express Entry does not require a job offer from a PEI employer at the time of submitting an EOI profile. Candidates are assessed on a points system based on factors such as age, language proficiency, education, work experience, employment, and adaptability.
Basic requirements:
- Create an Express Entry profile and get into the candidate pool. To get into the pool, you need to meet the requirements of one of the programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program. At least one year of continuous full-time employment in a skilled occupation (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3), high school education, and an appropriate level of language proficiency (CLB/NCLC 7).
- Canadian Experience Class. Minimum one year of full-time experience in Canada in a skilled trade (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3) within the last three years, language proficiency (CLB/NCLC 7 for NOC 0 and A, CLB/NCLC 5 for NOC B), no minimum education requirements.
- Federal Skilled Trades Program. Minimum two years of full-time experience in a skilled trade (NOC groups 72, 73, 82, 92, 63), job offer in Canada or qualification certificate, and language proficiency (CLB/NCLC 5 for speaking and listening, CLB/NCLC 4 for reading and writing).
- Create a profile in the Expression of Interest (EOI) system at the PEI level. The EOI profile remains active for six months. To create a profile, you must provide a valid email address and passport details.
- PEI Program eligibility:
- Age from 18 to 59 years.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in a relevant profession.
- Minimum level of knowledge of English or French — CLB/NCLC 4.
- Demonstration of intent to reside on Prince Edward Island.
- Sufficient financial resources to cover all immigration costs and support your stay in PEI.
The Prince Edward Island Nominee Program (PEIPNP) has seven different streams. Each of them has its own specific requirements, but all of them are united by common criteria: relevant work experience, sufficient proficiency in the official languages of Canada (minimum CLB 4), proven education, and financial independence.
Of particular note is the flexibility of the program in terms of professional categories — from highly skilled professionals (TEER 0-3) to mid-level workers (TEER 4-5) in high-demand sectors. This makes PEIPNP accessible to a wide range of potential immigrants with different levels of qualifications and work experience.
