Stone mine " Granite-Dacite" near the town of Ljig - Kadina port -central Serbia.
Currently the largest deposit of this stone in Serbia. The mine was exploited both before and after the Second World War. The deposit has two shafts, the deposit was recently an access road paved with crushed stone for the unimpeded passage of trucks and mining machines. The site is private property 1/1, and a field survey confirmed that the size of the site is about 750,000 cubic meters (in translation for three-generation excavation). During cutting, smaller pieces fall off - "kipa", which is used for filling the terrain in civil engineering - roads, railways; for paving, creating curbs, etc.
Pieces larger than 30 cm reach a price per cubic meter of around 15 euros, smaller pieces from 5-8 euros per cubic meter. Owner's papers and appraisal, as well as stone quality test made by the Faculty of Mining and Geology in Belgrade.
