Named by Carducci : "The city of 100 Horizons" Asolo rises on the top of a hill, not far from Venice, an ancient fortified city rich in history , art and culture, a city where you can live your passions among nature and food and wine trails , we are in the homeland of Prosecco DOC. Asolo, which has always been considered the pearl of the province of Treviso, hosts the compendium called Villa Staglierona, originally a Puppi estate since it was built by the noble Puppi family in the first half of the 16th century. Transformed into a resort in recent times, the villa stands on the top of a hill overlooking the entire estate. Within the compendium are as many as 2 artificial lakes and 4 hectares of vineyards for the production of DOCG prosecco. The Glera vines produce about 310 quintals of grapes equal to a production of about 31 thousand bottles. There is also a possibility of expansion allowed by the master plan, for an additional 4970 cubic meters for tourist accommodation.
We are in front of a jewel of Veneto architecture, worthy of an in-depth study and a site visit.
