The Greek PASOK party has submitted a bill to parliament proposing a radical overhaul of the country's current Golden Visa program.

If approved, new applications for B.5 category residency permits through real estate will no longer be accepted. However, applications already under review will continue to be processed under the previous terms, and existing permits can be renewed without hindrance. That said, real estate linked to the Golden Visa will be subject to stricter short-term rental restrictions.

Instead of residential property investments, the party proposes incentivizing investments in science, business, and job creation.
