Deputy Minister of Migration Nicholas Ioannides announced plans to review the permanent residency by investment program, though specific details have not yet been disclosed.

Simultaneously, authorities are auditing roughly 12,000 previously issued permanent residency permits to ensure their holders still meet the program's requirements. Redirecting investments toward education, defense, and innovation is also under discussion.

Members of parliament also pointed out that current program conditions are increasing pressure on the real estate market, which could serve as another reason to tighten rules in the future.
