The European Commission has submitted a draft proposal for discussion to introduce a unified additional fee for Schengen visas. Potentially, this will be charged on top of the current fee, which is currently €90 for adults and €45 for children aged 6 to 12.

The proposal to raise the fee appears in a document regarding the upcoming reform of the Visa Code. The draft legislation is expected to be submitted for discussion in the first quarter of 2027.
