zettemin is a common one in the county “mecklenburgische seenplatte” in M.V. it is situated away from the main routes, yet centrally between the müritz, the malchiner see & the kummerower see and counts approx. 200 inhabitants.

the village Z. (cethemyn) is approx. 10 km south of the reuterstadt stavenhagen and was mentioned for the first time in 1261, through the later plant of a good farm it developed into a good village.

the site image is embossed by the good house zettemin (in the literature also called “closed” or “round construction”), which was built in 1750 as a symmetrically arranged complex in the style of the late baroque with a seven-axle central building (corps de logis) in brick, to which a two-storey side wing is connected in a quarterly manner.

the main house is designed as a three-storey (or 4-)storey building with super-furnished medium-risalite and high roof (9.5 meter high mansarde) and is under denkmal-protection -positive pre-conferences with the competent authority have already been led...

the former well-maintained facility was completed by a farm in the south direction with 6 larger agricultural buildings (shy, stable & storage buildings).

this one-time ensemble has been destroyed in recent times by the successors of the “treuhand” to the extent that the adjacent buildings have been rebuilt

if the overall installation was more simply kept architecturally, it was due to its unique design among all the well-maintained houses of the country and its location, shape and size to be counted among the more important baroque goods of the country.

the former courtyard of the plant today a great findling with the inscription ‘1261 cethemyn / 2001 zettemin’, and still got its distinctive new name: “place of peace”...

the directly adjacent landscape park, located on the former outside, is listed in detail and was listed in the first half of the 19th century. JH created according to plans by peter-joseph lenné.

Also noteworthy is the position of the entire plant on a light “kuppe” with free view into the surrounding icy-time landscape.

2 construction-time small dikes still exist, instead of the former good-gärtnerei with baumschule, there is today a small garden plant in possession of the common.

the former goodshof belonged first to the monastery, which in turn was a foundation of the Danish monastery esrom, and which later built the very interesting monastery complex eldena near griffswald.

interesting is the fact that from this time the domenal goods Z. and RMH. as exklave from pommern on mecklenburg. territorium was preserved until 1939.

after the good plant was built in 1750 by the noble family of maltzahn, located in the region, in particular at the kumme-rower see (moltzahn, summer village, kummerov, in ivenack & small bright, later also in full rest & ulrichshusen) from 1852 of the family heyden-linden before it was built in the 19th run of the 19th century. JH to the grafen von Schwerin, who fell the good (with about 100 hektar) until the end of the 2. WK managed and was expropriated as a noble family by Soviet administrators.

then the ensemble fell to the local community. at this time, apartments were installed in the two side wings or in the main house a children's nativity, schools and various public institutions, such as bank, frisör, villageladen (“consumption”), sports group and a village exhibition.

in 2004, the community sold the good house for the purpose of "representing" before the new owner could acquire it in 2020 for the purpose of the multigeneration project “7-E”.

Since then, extensive preparatory work has been carried out (reconstruction of buildings, ventilation, dismantling defective inventory, care green systems, planning etc.)
