According to realtors, these days it is possible to purchase a house in Ukraine at the best price. Probably that is why more and more truly unique options turn up on the Ukrainian real estate market. As an example, in the Odessa region, there is a house with very diverse paintings everywhere, exotic plants, and the walls are decorated with the skins of wild animals.

In the last couple of months, the real estate market in Odessa, like in Ukraine overall, has changed significantly. Only a few months ago accommodation prices were going down, but the situation changed in June-July. On the primary market, as the website LUN.ua reports, since the beginning of the year, new buildings in Odessa increased in price by 36%. In the end of January, on the primary market a square metre was estimated at average $581, and in the end of July — $793.

At the same time, the secondary market, of course, is really sensitive to changes in cost of a square metre in new buildings. Certainly, it’s worth pointing out that the owners of cottages and flats are remaining on the market, and they are willing to sell their properties in Odessa as soon as possible. That is why they are ready to make significant concessions towards real buyers. Sometimes, the discount reaches 30-40%. Despite the situation, such offers are decreasing, however, truly unusual options replace them on the market.. 

In the Odessa region, a very unique cottage is put on sale. This house is situated in the South-East, in Ovidiopol district. It is a three-storey building with a total area of 400 square metres, there are 10 rooms, a home cinema, a private greenhouse and a huge aviary for tropical birds species.

The advertisement claims that the house is decorated in accordance with an exclusive art-design, and, judging by photographs, it is true. Probably you won’t be able to find such a big number of paintings and painted walls, decorated ceilings, stucco and frescoes. Here, even air-conditioners are nicely painted like the walls (we assume to make them less noticeable).

At the greenhouse’s entrance a real size artificial tree is installed. Its bunches seem to hold the roof. A bear’s skin and a deer’s head hang on the wall in the cabinet (the ad says they are real). In the living room, the wall is painted as a fragment of a paradise garden with peacocks, and a dome of colourful glass decorated with frescoes rises above the stairs with forged railings. Overall, it’s truly worth seeing.

As the seller says, the house is fully equipped with necessary furniture and household appliances. It is divided into a living area, which occupies two floors, and a ground floor. The ground floor accommodates a home cinema, a bar and a recreation zone. The other floors include a cabinet, a spacious kitchen, three bedrooms, 2 wardrobes, three bathrooms, a big storage room and a furnace chamber. Also, as we have previously mentioned, there is a greenhouse equipped with a heating system, exotic plants, painted walls and a huge aviary for tropical birds. There is a separate winter garden at the entrance to the house with decorative stucco, original features and paintings on the ceiling.

The 10 hectare plot has a large roofed space arranged for 3 cars. There is also a frescoed pergola with a beautiful oven, BBQ, appliances and furniture. Outside there is a garden with a wide variety of plants, a rich collection of trees (from conifers to citrus), many flowers and several fruit trees. According to the seller, the plot can be expanded to 30 acres by purchasing two nearby plots.
