Description
A beautiful four-room apartment, located on the second floor (7 floors in total), in a classic, modernist, large tenement house in Powiśle, with stylish, historic elevators from the Swiss company Stigler. The tenement house was built between 1923 and 1931 on the initiative of the PPS leaders. It has an interesting history of its inhabitants. The building has 11 staircases and 196 apartments (only two on one floor) and a nice internal patio with greenery, benches and a pond. It is possible to enter the staircases only through one guarded gate, which was renovated in 2023. From At 11 p.m. the tenement house gate is closed. At night, the gate is opened by a porter. The tenement house is monitored 24 hours a day. The apartment was completely renovated in 2014, with the restoration of the original layout, replacement of windows, interior and front doors, installations, parquet flooring, etc. The finish is elegant, classic and has a timeless charm. Three rooms with an area of 25 m2, 16 m2 and 24 m2 create a 65-meter representative space that can be divided into three separate rooms using the existing multi-leaf doors. In this part of the apartment, large windows and a balcony on the south side overlook the historic Poniatowski Bridge viaduct. The 18 m2 bedroom is equipped with spacious wardrobes and other furniture from Fabryka Wnętrz. Oak kitchen furniture is made according to an individual design in the English style with high-class household appliances and the floor is made of oiled oak boards. In the rooms and hall, the floors are made of ash parquet arranged in a herringbone pattern. In the corridor and in one of the rooms there are oak library shelves made by the same company. In the 9 m2 bathroom, daylight enters through a window inserted for this purpose, connecting the bathroom with the kitchen. The toilet bowl also includes a bidet function. Both rooms are lined with travertine, with custom-made oak furniture.
