Commercial building for sale in the center of Riga
Can be used for a wide range of activities. The building is located on the central street of business Riga, with a high concentration of pedestrian and traffic flows. Opposite is the largest hotel in Riga "Radisson Blu Latvija". Well-established infrastructure, historical and financial value of the quarter allows to call it a "business card" of the city.
The building was designed by the famous architect Eugenius Laube and was built in 1912 for the needs of the credit society of traders and workers. In addition, the building housed a telegraph and telephone museum. The upper part of the building's facade is decorated with dark plaster, the lower part with polished labradorite. The main staircase is made of oak panels. The combination of modernity and Art Nouveau architecture made the building a unique work of urban planning. The building is a landmark of the Latvian capital.
Currently, the first floor premises are used as retail space, while the remaining floors are used as offices. However, there is a development of the architectural concept of using the first floor and part of the basement as commercial space. Taking into account the availability of necessary communications, the upper levels of the building can be redeveloped and used as hotel premises.
