St. Vlas belongs to the Burgas region and is part of the community of Nessebar. The resort received the status of a city in 2006. Sveti Vlas is located at the junction of mountains and the sea, in the northern part of the bay, directly opposite the ancient city of Nessebar, listed as a specially protected UNESCO site.
In the central part of the bay there is a famous Bulgarian resort – Sunny Beach, the northern edge of which smoothly passes into the first buildings of St. Vlas.
From the main square of St. Vlas to the center of Sunny Beach — 5 km, and to the city of Nessebar - 10 km.
