The Marina de las Dunas sports and seaport is located two kilometers away, where you can visit an auction of fresh fish products in the morning. At the highest point of GUARDAMAR DEL SEGURA, there is an ancient castle built at the end of the XIV century, when most of Spain was ruled by Arabs. This castle, badly damaged after the earthquake in 1829, was partially restored.

In the western part of GUARDAMAR DEL SEGURA there is another significant site for archaeology - El Cabezo del Estaño, the heart of the Iron Age of Spain.
