The Palazzo was built in 1589 and is an imposing building. Its large, well-ventilated rooms surround a huge internal courtyard on the ground floor that allows access to terraces that overlook an orchard. Above, the palazzo has a chapel and birth room and even a spiral staircase leading to a turret that allows distant visions of Mdina and Valletta.
The dining room has an imposing table that seats fourteen; its design inspired by the Knights of the San Juan era. The nearby living room has a welcome fireplace and plenty of room for people to relax. The kitchen has been equipped with the latest modern equipment and is centrally located to be able to comfortably serve the patio, dining room and terrace.
Thick walls on the subway keep the interior cool in summer, and fireplaces in some rooms add heat as well as the atmosphere in winter. Excellent lighting adds magic to all rooms, with subtle effects highlighting the skipped ceilings, huge arches, and the heat of the Maltese limestone used everywhere.
A sun-shaped south-given terrace overlooks a back garden filled with established fruit trees and a larger walled garden below. On one side, you can see an ancient sculpting of God of the Winds and various engravings of ancient galleys. There are 260 fruit trees in total and the original stone irrigation canals were restored and are back in operation.
