Croatia is going to adjust several laws. The changes will affect the conditions of employment and wages.

On Jan. 1, 2023, Croatia officially joined the Schengen Area and adopted the euro as its currency. Following this, the country began to amend existing laws to comply with European Union legislation. The Foreigners Law and Salaries Law are among those that need changing.

During 2023, the Croatian government will adopt measures that will speed up the process of issuing work permits for citizens of other countries. In other words, foreigners will no longer have to follow strict regulations to get a job in Croatia, as they used to. This, among other things, will help the country cope with the shortage of specialists in some sectors.
