Houses are for sale for 1 euro in another Italian village
The Italian “house for 1 euro” program is increasingly being joined by new regions. This time it is Ripacandida in Basilicata, a small village with a medieval historical center and about 1700 people.
The local council said the key goal of the one-euro house-building initiative is to restore housing in the historic center of the village and attract more people there. To achieve this, there needs to be urban building reform that encourages the creation of families and businesses of all kinds.
Officials also noted that the initiative would also contribute to the city's social and economic growth, as local firms and workers would be involved in repairing and securing private buildings, among other things.
A list of available facilities can be found on the municipality's website.
