Here the wind sings its endless ballads, and the waves softly whisper the stories of old Nessebar. Here, every sunrise is a new symphony of light, and the evening breeze brings a sense of peace and inspiration.
Location:
The city of Nesebar (with a population of 12,000 people) is located 36 km northeast of the city of Burgas, on the coast of the Black Sea. In close proximity is another large Bulgarian resort - Sunny Beach. The climate in the Nesebar region is temperate-continental. The average temperature in July is +23.1 degrees, and the average temperature in January is +2 degrees. The highest amount of precipitation occurs in September, while drought is typical for July and August. The city was founded more than 3200 years ago. It was settled by Thracians at the end of the Bronze Age and was called Melasambria, which translates to "City of Melasas." Today, the old and new parts of the city are separated by a narrow isthmus. The old town is located on a small peninsula. Due to its exceptional cultural and historical wealth, Nesebar was declared a museum, tourist, and holiday resort of international significance by Council of Ministers Decision No. 243 on July 18, 1956.
