Al-Rams
Al Rams is one of the oldest districts of Ras al-Khaimah. It is located between the coast of the Persian Gulf and the historical site - Fort Daya. The area overlooks the Jebel Jais Mountains on one side and palm groves and natural sandbanks on the other.
The Al Rams area has been famous for pearl mining since ancient times. Much of the old architecture, such as wooden houses and coral block buildings, has survived. Today, Al Rams has a well-developed infrastructure, with many schools, hospitals and cultural centers.
The villas in the area are built in traditional Arabic style. Locals and visitors can stroll through the narrow streets and visit various shops, beauty salons and sports centers. Cornish Al Rams is the most beautiful coastal area of the emirate, which is popular with locals and tourists.
Infrastructure and location
Al Rams Hotel is located on the Al-Manama-Ras al-Khaimah highway, which leads to the American University of Ras al-Khaimah, which can be reached in 15 minutes. Rak Mall and Al Dhait shopping centers can be reached in 20 minutes.
Al Rams is home to Al Rams Medical Center and Maxcare Medical Center, which provide first-class care. Residents can benefit from nearby educational facilities such as Al Roya Girls Secondary School, Al Rams Boys School, Nida Al Islam Private School, Al Rahma Kindergarten and Dhaya Garden Design Kindergarten.
Grocery stores and homeware stores are located in Al Shabiya Markets, Al Qatari Grocery, Madeena Supermarket and Al Zafaran Grocery. There are pharmacies, hairdressers and bookstores in the Al Rams area. You can have fun at Selfie Cafe, Brownie Cafe, Magic Fitness Center and Saqr Sports Stadium. The area is connected by a bridge with the islands of Saraya, where there are stables, a park, a camping and a beach.

There are no separate communities or high-rise residential complexes in the area. The villas are located along quaint streets, and their appearance is made mainly in traditional Arabic style.
Al Rams currently offers three- to seven-bedroom apartments ranging from 3,600 sq ft to 10,000 sq ft. The cost of apartments ranges from AED 950,000 (USD 260,000) to AED 1.9 million (USD 517,000). Land of 10,000 sq ft (929 sq m) can be bought for AED250,000 ($68,000).
Al Rams is one of the most picturesque places to spend time with friends and family. Guests and residents can go fishing or visit a pearl farm. The coast offers incredible sunset views, clean beaches and opportunities for water sports such as kayaking and canoeing.
Saraya Islands are an ideal place for camping, swimming and barbecue. The islands are also great for watching the sunset and going off-road.
Al Rams Club is a cultural center located in the heart of Al Rams District. It houses the Al Rams Ballroom, where events are held, as well as a stadium, a sports hall and a cafe.
Fort Daya is a 10-minute drive from Al Rams. The fort offers a panoramic view of the Persian Gulf. Visitors can also admire the views of the nearby mountains, which were built in the XIX century on the site of an older structure. The cone-shaped hill on which the fort is located used to be a natural defensive point and was used to store defensive materials.
