Vilamoura is a resort in the Algarve, a region in southern Portugal. It is known for its large marina, golf courses, casino, and the sandy beach of Vilamoura. The Cerro the Vila Archaeological Museum has the ruins of a Roman villa with bathhouses and mosaics. Praia da Falésia beach is lined with red cliffs and stretches west to the fishing village of Olhos de Água. Vilamoura merges into the city of Quarteira in the southeast, where there are other beaches.
