Tsrnojvich River -
The city got its name on the river, which originates several hundred meters above the city. The river is also called in honor of Ivan Tsrnojevic, the ruler of these lands in the XV century. He was a talented diplomat and strategist. It was he who moved the capital of Montenegro from the shores of Lake Skadar to the mountains, where he founded the city of Cetinje. And his son founded in the 15th century a printing house near the Tsrnojevic River in the town of Obod. This printing house was one of the first printing houses in the world. The books printed in it are still stored in European museums.
Once the Tsrnojvich River was a transport hub, an important river port and a subbotny market. A few years ago, the embankment was repaired, several mini-hotels and restaurants appeared. So the city comes to life again.
For several decades, this city lived richly thanks to the fish farm "Fisheries". It was the only freshwater fish processing factory in Yugoslavia in Europe.
The town attracts peace and comfort, and foreign tourists go here for unique landscapes.
