Historical architecture
This property was built in 1924 by an international consortium formed by Polskie Towarzystwo Radiotechniczne, Societé Francaise Radioélectrique, and Marconi Wireless Telegraph Co Ltd (UK). It housed PTR offices and Poland’s first radio station, with the first broadcast on February 1, 1925, and reception confirmed in Vienna and London by February 7.
The building burned down during the war but preserved its core walls, gate entrance, and stairwell. In 1945, it was rebuilt with its original axis and charm.
