Alazani Valley is a sub region within Kakheti in the Georgia.
Kakheti is the most important wine region in Georgia, producing
three-quarters of the country's wine grapes. It is also known as the cradle of wine production in the world, with archaeological studies finding vine residue dating back 8000 years.
In the territory of Alazani valley locates a river Alazani, that flows through the Caucasus. It is the main tributary of the Kura in eastern Georgia and flows for 351 kilometers. The length of valley estimates 160 km and locates 200-400 m above sea level.
