Parking in the modern sense is an equipped area for storing vehicles. In addition to the designated area, parking includes special mechanisms (rotary parking) and specialized real estate objects, often not intended for any other purpose than storing vehicles.

Types of Parking

Let’s look at the main types of parking.

Underground Parking

Underground parking lots are located on the basement or cellar levels of buildings.

Advantages:

  • Weather protection.
  • Saving ground space.
  • Possibility of direct access to the residential building.

Disadvantage: high construction costs, which are reflected in the final price of the parking space.

Ground Parking

There are two types of ground parking:

  • Open ー equipped with markings and minimal protective equipment.
  • Closed ー garage boxes or areas under a canopy.

Their advantage is their relatively low cost, but the cars remain exposed to weather conditions.

Multi-level Parking

A multi-level structure capable of accommodating hundreds of vehicles. Typically used in high-density commercial and residential developments.

Advantages:

  • High capacity.
  • Separation of traffic flows for easier parking.

The presence of a parking lot significantly increases the safety of the vehicle located there due to the surveillance and security systems of the territory. However, when selling real estate, mentioning the presence of a parking lot often increases the cost of such an object.
