Apartments with private entrance are the same apartments, but according to the layout, it has a separate entrance from the street. In this case, there may be two entrances to the apartment (from the street and the entrance) or only from the street. Most often, apartments on the first floor have a separate entrance, where you can get inside the premises using an attached staircase or a spare entrance.

Advantages of an apartment with a private entrance:

  • Increased privacy. Having a separate entrance reduces the number of contacts with neighbors and strangers.
  • Comfort and convenience. In such apartments, residents do not have to depend on the condition of the entrance, and do not have to face the inconveniences that may arise when using a common entrance (cleaning, repairs).
  • Better conditions for pets. No need for a common entrance makes it easier to take pets outside.

Disadvantages of an apartment with a private entrance:

  • More noise. Such apartments most often require additional sound insulation, since the doors have a higher sound conductivity than the wall.
  • Security issues. A separate entrance is less protected from break-ins and intrusions, as there is no intercom or surveillance cameras; these will have to be installed individually.
  • Maintenance of the territory. The owner of a separate entrance will have to maintain the territory adjacent to the entrance and keep it clean.
  • Difficulties with repairs and redevelopment. The process of creating a separate entrance is quite difficult and requires approval from the homeowners.

Considering both the pros and cons of this decision, everyone can already decide whether it is worth it.
