Chloraka is located 3 km north of the city of Paphos and borders a tourist area known as the Tombs of the Kings. It is also home to Akritas Chloraka, the Cyprus Second Division football team. This village, located along the coastal road from Paphos to Corral Bay, has many hotels, restaurants and bars. The location of Chloraki became known in March 1998, when the cargo ship Demetrios II ran aground in a severe storm; the ship is still visible and has become a rather noticeable landmark.
