The Omani authorities allow foreign citizens to purchase apartments, villas and even commercial properties. However, there is a mandatory requirement: real estate in Oman for foreigners must be located exclusively in certain zones (the so-called Integrated Tourism Complexes), allocated by the government to stimulate foreign investment.
