The residence permit is intended for citizens of countries outside the EU, EEA and Switzerland who are willing to invest in the economy or financial system of Luxembourg.
The law provides for four investment options:
€500,000 to an existing or new company,
* from €3 million to the investment management structure
* or from €20 million in bank deposit.
The residence permit is issued for three years and can be extended for the next three-year periods while maintaining the investment and fulfilling the conditions of the program.
After five years of legal continuous residence, the investor can apply for the status of a long-term resident of the EU - an analogue of permanent residence.
Purchase or lease of real estate is not the basis for obtaining a residence permit for an investor.
