On Sadurano’s hillside, overlooking Castrocaro, Romagnacase offers a villa with dependance, which are surrounded by 6.5 hectares of land, partially planted with olive trees.
Sadurano, a small medieval village, is known for its characteristic hiking trails, which are excellent for appreciating the Romagna hinterland and its beauties. The building itself best reflects these peculiarities. It is situated not far from the ruins of the castle, and the floors are partially based on the plan of a medieval watchtower. The tower’s well is surprisingly still present and in working order.
The 250 square meters property was completely rebuilt at the end of the last century. The double floor building is located on the slop of the hill overlooking Castrocaro. A more recent dependance, about 30 square meters, and an underground garage complete the solution.
The living area has been set up on the lower floor. Here, we find a kitchen, about 16 square meters, with an adjoining basement larder of the same proportions. The kitchen leads to the dining room, which is joined to the livin room, thus forming a space of over 60 square meters. Moreover, we find a toilette and another living room with a fireplace, enclosed below the staircase.
Upstairs we find all the rooms arranged along a central corridor, where we have the first bathroom with shower, two single bedrooms, another bathroom with bathtub, and three double bedrooms.
The reconstruction allowed the owner to take care of some architectural finishes that reflect the local history, and create a sense of “home” feeling.
The park surrounding the villa gently fades towards the river Montone. This characteristic gives the possibility to appreciate spectacular sunsets in the valley. The land is suitable both for the realisation of a large private garden, sheltered by the surrounding forest, and a vineyard, given the peculiarities of the land.
