The Ambassadori Island project in Batumi has attracted $450 million from developers based in Dubai and Georgia.
Dubai-based HOLM Developments will invest over $250 million in the One Peninsula complex, spanning 140,000 m². This marks the company's first major project outside Dubai; the agreement was signed on September 6.
Georgia’s Origami Holding is investing $200 million in a mixed-use complex featuring residential and commercial spaces designed for year-round rentals. Sales launched on September 1.
It is not just residential buildings being constructed on the island. The master plan includes hotels, retail outlets, leisure facilities, cultural spaces, and a private jet runway. In September alone, the island welcomed 50 pilots flying 26 aircraft from Europe and the USA.
When Dubai developers make their first move outside the Emirates specifically to Batumi, it sends a signal to the entire market: the city is putting itself on the global map.
However, a high-profile project does not automatically guarantee a sound investment. We compare seaside projects, vet developers before you place a reservation, and manage the transaction through to property registration—including remote closings.
