In a quiet and panoramic hill area, enclosed between the winding rivers Rabbi and Montone, Romagnacase offers for sale the ancient Catholic church of San Lorenzo Martire and San Nicolò Vescovo. Originally built around the middle of the sixteenth century, the oldest certain testimony dates back to 1595, when the structure received the pastoral visit of Monsignor Peruzzi. During the following centuries, several interventions have changed the structure and the original aspect of the building, which left place to the current elegant and linear architecture.
In 1986, the church was included in the list of suppressed Catholic places of worship, but it still retains, in the collective memory of the nearby communities, the ancient sacred value.
Adjacent to the church there is a large stone rectory on two levels.
The buildings are surrounded by about 7000 square meters of land, currently wooded and partly arable.
The reserved and quiet location, not isolated at all, makes it perfect for different destinations of use. In fact, the area is very active from the point of view of sports and eco-tourism, and the former church of San Lorenzo is figures on several trekking and mountain biking routes, that involve different realities and local activities already present in the area.
Structurally church and rectory need important and considerable restoration work.
