Tourist arrivals in Antalya fell by 6% over the first eight months of the year, resulting in losses of at least €700 million

The number of tourists visiting Antalya during the first eight months of 2026 fell to 10.7 million — 6% fewer than during the same period last year, according to the Ekonomim news agency.

According to the data, the region saw 664,530 fewer tourist arrivals. In addition, the number of Turkish expatriates living abroad and spending their holidays in Antalya declined by 2 percentage points.

Experts cited by the publication attribute the trend to the political situation surrounding Turkey, particularly the country’s strained relations with Israel.
