The villa was built in 1910 by architect Giacomo Mantegadza at the behest of Mr. Alfred Viatt, a wealthy English merchant who made his fortune in India and fell in love with Lake Como, particularly in Menajo. Thanks to the wishes of Mr. Viatt, the print of the English style was reflected both in the structure of the house and in its interiors.
