The project involved the conservative restoration of the ancient Monastery of the Apparition, a building of great historical importance for the Island and for Venice itself. Built around the Sanctuary that gives it its name - and which still today continues to be the destination of numerous pilgrims - the building has in fact stood out since its origin for its architectural quality and for the central role it played in the life of the Island, aspects that are reflected in its fascinating position: overlooking both the sea and the lagoon, it is the only building on the Island that covers its entire width.
The flat is situated on the attic floor, served by a lift.
Internally it is composed by a large dining/living room with full wall glass window with sea view, separate kitchenette with window, bathroom, 2 or 3 bedrooms, one with private bathroom, very bright, some with lagoon view, others with sea view.
The flat has 2 large skylights on the roof, one facing the sea and one the lagoon.
The complex is located on a large open area that directly overlooks both the Venetian Lagoon, where it is possible to dock private boats, and the sea, with access to a large beach that is almost exclusive.
Different in size and architectural details, the 35 flats are built with prestigious materials and construction techniques that are fully consistent with the excellence of the property.
On the side of the lagoon, the building also has a large green area for a private garden, an internal condominium car park and a dock with the possibility of a boat port.
The task of the new restoration project was entrusted to the well-known architect Alessandro Scarpa of Venice who, after years of study, research, meetings and in close collaboration with the architects of the Soprintendenza delle Belle Arti e del Paesaggio, succeeded in obtaining the difficult authorisation from all the control and protection bodies to use the building as a prestigious residence.
With the restoration, the characteristic elements of the complex have been recovered and enhanced, in particular the internal garden with its ancient Venetian Well.
It is the ideal place to spend moments of absolute peace and relaxation.
Connected to the centre of Venice and the Lido by a bus/ferry service and easily reached from Chioggia, the island of Pellestrina, with its 4,000 inhabitants, has managed to maintain over time the ancient characteristics of a fishermen's village.
Here everything is slow, relaxing: even the flow of time.
An oasis of peace where you can live in a natural environment that seems unchanging, in a luxury historical complex, with services already in place for a community with ancient traditions, just a stone's throw from the international vibrancy of Venice and its cultural environment bustling with activities.
