Nea Smyrni is a neighborhood and municipality of the regional division of the southern sector of Athens. According to the 2011 census, its population is 73,076 and its surface is 3.5 square kilometers. Nea Smyrni borders with Neos Kosmos, Agios Dimitrios, Palaio Faliro and Kallithea, and it is connected to the center of Athens by Andrea Singrou Avenue and a tram route that also connects it to other southern suburbs such as Palaio Faliro and Glyfada.
