Construction period: 1841 - 1843. First in classicism. Blok's rule was in the first half of the 19th. Century founded in Jelgava Street on the property of the building of the hotelier Bartel Scheibe. In the years 1841-1843 Scheibe built today's manor house - a wooden building in the style of neoclassicism. The house was built by the master bricklayer of the national master carpenter Mende Neumann, the house has an individual design and at that time did not follow the canon of the mandatory standard facades in the Russian Empire. At that time, another residential building was built and a garden was formed.
The Blok Manor is the first renovated cultural monument in Riga after the Second World War - the reconstruction was carried out from 1952 to 1954 and designed by J.Licitis. After repairs, the administrative rooms of the Latvian SSR Scientific Restoration Workshops were set up here. Another renovation took place in 1963, designer G. Jansons, the house was tailored to the needs of the library.
Blok's manor house is a wooden building in a comparatively authentic condition with four adjacent roofs and roofs. In the middle of the roof, the gable is carefully tilted with the large, three-part window in the form of a semicircle. This is the only mansion in Riga with a gallery behind continuous colonnade (peripter). Paired ionic columns are used there. The colonade is on three sides, the fourth facade in the direction of the inner courtyard and has the portico of the entrance with the balcony. It is interesting to note that the door splitting on the interior facade was most likely created around 1800 in the style of neoclassicism and the empire - in front of the manor house.
At the moment, this manor house complex also has a comparatively small wooden floor with portico and columns.
