In the archives of 1387. the castle is referred to as a gift from the king to his Chevalier Seigneur de Beauchamps. At the beginning of the 18th century, the castle passed into the possession of De BEAUMONT graphs, which were the owners of the castle until 1997. The first Count of De BEAUMONT is known in the history of France as a brilliant diplomat, philosopher, writer and founder of the French school of counter-spyware "Secret du Roi". His mission in Russia is especially unusual: having changed into a ladies' outfit, the count became the confidant of Queen Elizabeth - for many years remained her favorite maid of honor. During the French Revolution, the medieval castle was destroyed and in its place the son of Count De BEAUMONT in 1837. erected a new elegant castle, as we see it today, in the style of Renaissance. The construction was led by the architect Haussmann (the one that later changed the architectural appearance of Paris). The last owner, Count Jean De BEAUMONT, as an officer in the Normandy-Neman squadron (its part was based in Russia), went through the entire war on the side of the Russian army. In 2001. the count's widow sold the castle, which began to lose its gloss, to a group of investors. After 5 years of restoration, the castle acquired the form that it has today: the charm of history and modern comfort.
