A piece of Portuguese history can be yours!
The Quinta do Relógio dates from the 19th century and was built in 1860 under the direction of the architect Cinatti de Siena.
It was the residence of His Royal Highness El Rei D. Fernando II. In its gardens stands out the bell tower that gave the property its name. At that time the estate belonged to the heirs of HRH El Rey D. Joo I and D. Filipa de Lancastre, Queen of Portugal.
The main building with 3 floors (Rés do Cho, 1st floor and terrace) is 1148 m².
It is divided into two floor plans with palatial proportions and unique elements such as the symmetry of the plants, the spatial arrangement of the porch, the entrance hall and the staircase lit by the skylight.
At the Rés do Cho, we highlight the huge dining room overlooking the lower garden and the Tagus River, and the sumptuous 19th-century rosewood furniture. The dining room is connected to the library and the hunting room. A second dining room and the original kitchen are supported.
In addition to the multiple bedrooms and access to the stables and garage, the three main lounges (intimate sitting room, guest sitting room and coffee room) on the first floor offer sea views and direct access to the main garden leading to Torre do Clock.
The outdoor area has a huge garden divided into different environments, with grass, varied vegetation and secular trees, as well as different levels arranged around a courtyard that houses garages, stables and utility sheds. The highlight is the Torre do Relógio with a height of over 20 meters and a wide view of the Tejo and the sea.
The palace has a frontage of 145 meters overlooking the Tagus River and the Atlantic Ocean, just 20 meters from the sea.
