We present a unique house in the heart of Officer's Żoliborz.
REAL ESTATE PARAMETERS
This extraordinary implementation from 1975 was created on the basis of a unique design and under the personal direction of the outstanding Polish architect Wojciech Zabłocki, known all over the world for, among others, bold sports facilities. The building already in the 70s gained the title of one of the most interesting properties in Żoliborz, and is now in many tourist guides around the capital as an original, late modernist attraction of public-private space.
Inspired by the Podhale architecture, the block hides several zones inside, each of which has a different function and is distinguished by its unique atmosphere.
The brick one-story floor contains the original, private living area with kitchen, dining room and living room. The whole connects with a wide glazing with atrium - the heart of the house. It is this large terrace that acts as a garden and, connecting the house with the beautiful old man, completes the shape of the building.
The thoughtful and at the same time subtle division of the one-story part of the house means that all household members can function freely at this level. The clinker brick floor adds raw material to the interior, and at the same time is a noble material that, together with an interesting division of space, creates a cozy enclave of everyday life.
The atrial glazing naturally illuminates the living room, leaving the kitchen and dining room behind a sophisticated wall, which clearly separates the social zone from the typically family, more intimate activity of everyday life. On this floor there is also a separate room, originally intended for babysitting children, ideal for separating space for an office or bedroom.
A two-story wooden log superstructure was erected on the square plan of the one-story floor. On the first level, a family residential part with bedrooms and a bathroom was separated, and on the second, an atmospheric space for creative activities. From this part of the house, previously serving as the owner's architectural studio, there is a soothing view of the park at Kaniowska Street, which is conducive to concentration and rest.
The house is located on a raised underground floor, where there is a gym, sauna with shower, utility room and pantry. There is also a garage for two cars on this level.
COMMUNICATION AND ARMOR
Żoliborz Officerski is one of the most liked parts of this charming, small district of Warsaw. Climate villas and pleasant single-family buildings allow you to feel the atmosphere of the old days. An excellent public transport network at your fingertips (metro, buses and trams) and a complete service and educational infrastructure of the area make, that this is one of the most desirable areas for residents of the capital to live for families with children. The house is located at the Citadel Park, a few minutes walk from Żeromski Park and Wilson Square, and in close proximity to Kępa Potocka Park.
IN OUR OPINION
The property will interest lovers of modernist architecture combined with tradition and nature, which, used in a functional way, had a large share in the creative process that accompanied the creation of the house.
